The Chatty Cafe Scheme is delighted to announce the appointment of Tanya Edwards as a new Non-Executive Board Member, effective from 16th February 2026.
This new appointment further strengthens the organisation’s Board of Directors, bringing the total number of volunteer directors to six. Each member contributes a diverse and highly valuable skill set, helping to guide and support the continued growth of The Chatty Cafe Scheme as it works to reach more people and tackle loneliness across communities.
Tanya brings over 20 years of experience in Marketing and Communications, with a career spanning both the public and private sectors. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Relations and has worked with both UK and international brands to enhance their profile and build brand awareness through targeted and impactful campaigns.
With extensive expertise in marketing leadership, communications, and stakeholder engagement, Tanya will provide independent oversight and strategic insight to the Board. Her appointment will help ensure that The Chatty Café Scheme’s messaging, brand presence, and marketing strategy are aligned to support long-term growth and maximise impact.
Tanya is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
The appointment reflects the organisation’s commitment to strengthening its marketing and public relations capabilities at the board level.
