The Well

45 High St, Kibworth Harcourt, Kibworth Beauchamp, Leicester LE8 0HS

About The Well

Our Chatter & Natter table is available on Monday mornings, Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings.

The Well is a small charity, based on the High Street in Kibworth, and we’ve been around for more than 15 years.  Founded on Christian principles, we’re open to everyone of all faiths or none.  Read the full story of our history on our website.

We run a café, pre-loved clothes shop and a food bank, serving the people of the Kibworth’s and surrounding villages.

Day to day, we’re run almost entirely by a band of amazing volunteers, who selflessly give us their time, energy and commitment.

We have a quiet space called The Sanctuary, that hosts regular prayer meetings, and is used for contemplation, reflection and relaxation.  If you would like to join one of the sessions, please get in touch.

Our café serves a range of teas and freshly ground coffees, cold drinks, light lunches and a selection of delicious homemade cakes.  We do our best to keep our prices affordable for everyone.  We have a peaceful courtyard, that is party covered, to protect customers from the elements.

Our pre-loved clothes shop gives people access to good quality clothing, shoes and accessories at low prices.  It also means we contribute to sustainability by giving clothes a second lease of life and preventing them from going straight to landfill.  Any items that are unsold are recycled by a third party to support people in developing countries.

Over the last 18 months, we have been expanding and developing lots of extra support services for local people, by working in partnership with a range of agencies and other charities.

Residents (aged 18+) can receive FREE support and advice on issues such as mental and physical health and well-being, housing, debt, budgeting and, welfare benefits.

Anyone can access these services completely free, either by self-referring, asking us to make a referral on their behalf or coming and seeing them face-to-face at a drop-in session in our café.  Details of the organisations we work with and the support they provide is under the ‘activities’ page on our website.

Next time you’re in the area, pop in as we always love to welcome customers, old and new, through our door.

N.B. There is unrestricted, on-street parking right outside, including tow disabled bays.  The nearest public car park is on School Road, which is free and just a two-minute walk away.
