The Kitchen Table

19 Camden Road, Tunbridge Wells, UK

About The Kitchen Table

The Kitchen Table is a place that welcomes everyone with a special focus on people living with poor mental health. The cafe is about community connecting.

The cafe is non profit making, but serves good quality food and homemade cakes. We believe that talking with someone is a great way to improve our mental health. So we have staff available if you would like to chat and our staff can also point you towards other resources that might help you. But if you would like just to sit quietly and enjoy your cuppa that is absolutely fine too. The Kitchen table is helping us to support people in our community who live with poor mental health.

This venue has a Table Volunteer.

The role of the Chatty Café Table Volunteer is to help ‘kick-start’ conversations and be a friendly face at the table: Look out for the Table Talker sign where they are sitting.

The Volunteer sits at the designated table the same day and time each week/month and they have completed ID checks and training specific to their role.

If you would like to volunteer to help host a Chatter & Natter table at this venue, apply here.
