About Roe Green Cricket Club Community Cafe
Having been established in 1881, Roe Green Cricket Club has always had strong community links and in 2024 became a registered charity for its work in Youth Development and providing regular social events enjoyed by our local community including an annual Music Festival, an annual Bonfire and other regular social events such as comedy evenings
In 2025 we established a weekly Community Cafe every Friday morning, regularly attended by 40-50 local residents and their family members, providing a focal point for chats, connection and support for many people living in isolation helping to address the issue of loneliness in our community.
This Community Cafe is fully funded and supported by Roe Green Cricket Club Committee and staffed by volunteers from our local Community Association.
We have partnered with The Spearhead Foundation, a charity supportingĀ men and women actively working in the military or emergency services together with military veterans who attend from all over Greater Manchester
Our Community Cafe is a really friendly place where chatting and making friends are our priorities. We believe our aims and values align perfectly with the 'Chatty Cafe' movement and welcome anybody who wishes to come along, either from our local community or wider areas across Salford and Greater Manchester
