About Oakleaf
Oakleaf Community Projects CIC is a welcoming community café, artisan retail space and creative workshop hub based in West Auckland, County Durham.
We are more than a café — Oakleaf exists to reduce social isolation, build confidence, and create meaningful community connections. Alongside freshly prepared food and quality coffee, we provide a safe, friendly space where people of all ages can sit, chat and feel part of something.
Our dedicated Chatty Table offers a place for conversation, companionship and connection. Whether someone lives alone, is new to the area, works remotely, or simply wants a friendly face and a brew, Oakleaf is here to welcome them.
We also host regular craft sessions, volunteer opportunities, skills workshops and community activities, helping people build friendships, confidence and purpose.
At Oakleaf, nobody needs to sit alone unless they choose to.
