About The Old Dairy Tearoom at Great Comp Garden
Great Comp Garden (registered charity no. 1189847) is an exceptionally beautiful 7-acre garden surrounding an early 17th century manor. In Spring the garden erupts into bloom with numerous Magnolias, Azaleas and Rhododendrons, under-planted with large drifts of Hellebores and bulbs whilst Summer brings warmth and extravagance from the rich and fiery colours of Salvias, Dahlias, Kniphofias, Crocosmias and Fuchsias; these are punctuated with ornamental grasses in great variety into late Autumn.
Great Comp Garden's 'Old Dairy Tearoom' is set within the grounds (garden admission fees apply for access to the tearoom).
A "chatty table" will be available in our tearoom every Monday from 10am to 12 noon during the months of March - October.
Visitors to the tearoom (inc. the chatty table) will need to pay the standard garden admission fee or become an annual pass holder (see our website for admission prices). Annual passes start from £25 per year.
We believe that bringing people together, and helping our local community connect with each other is a key component in supporting mental health and wellbeing, and we are delighted to become part of the Chatty Cafe Scheme.
