A few developments to share with you

A lot can happen in a few months so here is what we have been doing with ourselves.  We met with the lovely Rotary Club who not only know how to put on a good spread but are also enthusiastic and committed to making communities better. We are meeting again in a few weeks to discuss how we […]

We have some funding!!!

Exciting news! We have received just over £1000 of funding from Ambition for Ageing to get 25 Chatter & Natter tables into cafes/coffee mornings across Oldham and to advertise them specifically to people over 50 living in three wards where loneliness and isolation has been identified. Thank you x 1000 🙂

Costa Oldham ICC

We visited the Costa Coffee at Oldham ICC today to take a photo for the Costa Community Instagram. It was fantastic to see their Chatter & Natter sign on the counter to generate interest from customers. They have had lots of customers asking what its all about and offering to sit at the table to […]

I work three days a week at the AMAZING Tameside Arts which runs fab day and night art based sessions for anyone with additional needs. The Chatty Café Campaign

He mainly samples food at various cafes, wins over the owners with his smile (and inevitably checks out the toilet facilities). Together we are on a vital campaign […]

How do you use yours?

Yesterday Chatty Café started thinking about the possibilities of a Chatter & Natter table. Yes, we are dreaming big and being ambitious but we think that is the way forward. Currently, Chatter & Natter tables are used to get people in cafes talking, but what if we took it a step further and used it as an information point. […]

We love to hear from you

Today Chatty Café received a lovely email from a man called Richard who described a Chatter & Natter table as a way to ‘give permission’ to talk to a stranger in a safe environment. We love this description and think it perfectly captures what we are all about. Thank you for getting in touch Richard!
