A Huge Thank You to Luke from Cardinal Health UK! 🙌

Posted on 5 June 2025

On 18th May 2025, Luke Mitchell, Key Account Manager at Cardinal Health UK, took on the incredible challenge of the Spartan Race — a gruelling 10K course packed with 25 demanding obstacles — all in support of The Chatty Café Scheme.

We are deeply grateful to Luke for his amazing effort and dedication to our cause. Not only did he conquer the course, but thanks to his fundraising efforts and the generous support of donors, £565 was raised to help combat loneliness across the UK! 💛

Luke shared:

“A massive THANK YOU to everyone who donated to the Chatty Café! 🎉 Thanks to your generosity, we raised an incredible £565 — and that support truly helped me push through the gruelling course. It was tough, but also a lot of fun… and I was definitely happy to see that finish line! 😅”

Luke’s Story

“I set out with a mission: to raise £500 for The Chatty Café Scheme by completing the Spartan Race on 18th May. This cause is incredibly close to my heart. The Chatty Café Scheme is the UK’s leading non-profit tackling loneliness — an experience that can affect anyone and feel truly overwhelming.

The charity runs ‘Chatter & Natter’ tables in venues across the UK, inviting people to come together and connect over a conversation. They also offer weekly online sessions every Tuesday and a Telephone Friendship Service, pairing individuals with volunteers for regular, friendly chats.

These small moments of connection make a big difference — and with your help, we can keep them going. Thank you again for your support!”

From all of us at The Chatty Café Scheme — thank you, Luke! Your strength, spirit, and compassion truly inspire us. 💬💪💛
